Back by dope demand

I've got to back to work tomorrow after a two week holiday and quite frankly the prospect doesn't fill me with deep joy. I'm very lucky that I actually like my job, but still, lets face it, if its a choice between getting up and going to work and just sitting around in the sun, there can only be one option.

The last 2 weeks have been great. I couldn't afford to go away anywhere hot, so I spent the time catching up with friends and family and generally having a great time.

There was a birthday party, and several lunch and drinks appointments in and around London. A very good friend of mine told me he was going to ask his wonderful girlfriend to be his wonderful wife, and he wanted me to be one of his best men. Delighted. She said yes which made the whole scenario even better.

I also took a trip home to Wales where people look at you funny if you don't relax and slow down to a snails pace. There were epic nights out (see my last post about my dad), and great nights in (paella and an INCREDIBLE amount of red wine). I got Michael Jackson tickets. Now I'm not sure whether to go or sell them for an incredible profit. The gig isn't until next Febuary so I have plenty of time to decide. I went to see Wales play rugby at the Millenium Stadium. They lost to Ireland, but the atmosphere was fantastic. Today, I tidied the WHOLE house.

Ok, so that last one wasn't a great highlight, but considering I didn't really have much of a plan I think the last two weeks were an absolute triumph. They're sure to be better than the next couple...

Well Tim, we can't have everything...but 9/10 isn't that bad!

Reasonable health and fitness is paramount (I know far too many people, close to me, who do not have this).

Self belief and confidence must be so enpowering, surely?

Loads of money would help of course (to endulge paragraph one).

The 'girl of our dreams' on our arm - would show them, wouldn't it?
(It's often an illusion.)

We could have no conscience at all about seeing Michael Jackson perform.

We could make out we are avid supporters of Manchester United. (Don't make me laugh).

In a lighter vein, I'm off to London at the weekend to see Kasabian (TCT gigs)...if you are 'on air' beforehand...any chance of something from them?

Meanwhile, best to try and take time to enjoy the daffodils and blossom Sweens...it's my favourite time of the year.

Massively over-late, but if it's any consolation I am now back at work after SIX MONTHS off...when I say 'work' I mean this is the loosest possible sense of the word...
